My roommate Ellie turned 23 so we threw her a little party, complete with cake, party hats, and balloons of course. She really wanted to learn how to make bracelets, so that's what we did to celebrate!
Going to school at the Y requires a lot of hard work... but that doesn't mean we don't make time to play! We're quite the silly bunch (especially when we're sick of studying). I went down to St. George for Tiff's big 20th birthday and a good time hanging with the girls; had a s'mores fight at fhe; did face masks at our 'girls night'; my roommate Heather fell asleep, so Kiya and I decorated her with love notes and snuck away-we knew she'd woken up after we heard her laughing from the other room; went to Salt Lake and watched an incredible performance at the Tabernacle by our friends in the All-State Choir!
It's been raining a lot this past week in Provo, so we decided to make the most of it. A big open field, our favorite friends, a football, and lots of mud... oh yes. It was as good as it sounds. We played mud football--tackle style! The boys really did in fact tackle us, but luckily it was a lot more gentle than when they creamed each other. Don't worry, it was so slippery and we were all laughing too hard that the game wasn't very intense. After we washed up, we sat on our balcony all wrapped up in warm blankets and drank hot cocoa while we admired the lightning flashing before us. Who said you can't have fun during a storm? I beg to differ.
